Dr. Pak returns to El Salvador every year with Friends of ASAPROSAR. In 2025, the 53-person team saw over 1,700 patients, performed 125 operations, and dispensed over 1,600 pairs of glasses.

"The patients are wonderful and my fellow volunteers from around the U.S. have become dear friends," said Dr. Pak. "If you ever have the opportunity to do a humanitarian expedition, I can’t recommend it enough, because it’s the most soul warming experience."
