Soo Mee Pak, M.D.

After completing her undergraduate degree at Yale University, Dr. Soo Mee Pak attended medical school at New York University. She then did an internship in general surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital before returning to New York to complete her ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Pak then opted to extend her training with a full-year fellowship in corneal diseases, corneal surgery and LASIK surgery. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Pak loves treating the patients of Rockland County.

Dr. Pak has traveled to El Salvador and Ecuador to volunteer on medical missions with SEE International and Friends of ASAPROSAR, performing cataract surgery for disadvantaged individuals. In 2020, she was on a team of 62 volunteers from around the U.S. who examined 1664 patients and performed 125 surgeries. Dr. Pak personally performed four corneal transplants and 15 cataract extractions.

"The patients are wonderful and my fellow volunteers from around the U.S. have become dear friends," said Dr. Pak. "If you ever have the opportunity to do a humanitarian expedition, I can’t recommend it enough, because it’s the most soul warming experience."
